Hey everyone,

I’ve been doing a lot of online car shopping lately, mostly looking for some rare imported parts and paying for various VIN history reports. The problem is, a lot of these international auto sites look a bit outdated or sketchy, and I really hesitate to type in my actual credit card details.

I had my main card compromised once after buying an aftermarket part from an unknown vendor a few years ago, so I’m trying to be way more careful now.

Lately, I’ve been looking into using virtual payment cards that hide your real banking info for these specific checkouts. A friend from another auto group suggested I use the Jerrys vc platform for generating secure digital cards just for online buys. It seems like a smart way to keep the main bank account safe while dealing with overseas car part vendors.

Do any of you use virtual cards when buying car stuff online? Is this the standard way to protect yourself now, or are there better workarounds? Would love to hear how you guys handle payments on lesser-known auto sites safely. Thanks!
